Michelle Paster | Producer, Writer & Director
Michelle Paster’s background is in journalism, as a writer and photo & video journalist; as well as in documentary and non-fiction programming . She is published in The International Documentary Association’s Documentary Magazine, AOL’s Patch.com, Village Voice Media’s publications The LA Weekly & The Phoenix New Times, Studio Daily’s Film & Video Magazine, and The OC Metro. She served as the Managing Editor of the American Film Institute Film Festival’s The Daily News, interviewing such filmmakers as Darrin Aronofsky, Emilio Estevez, David Lynch, Zhang Yimou, and documentarians Laura Dunn (The Unforeseen), Nina Davenport (Operation Filmmaker), and Lynn Hershman-Leeson (Strange Culture). She writes documentary film scripts for clients, including Los Angeles based Protagonist TV and The Pepsi Cola Company.
Michelle’s early career production work includes: Paramount Pictures, independent features in Vancouver, Canada & Los Angeles, shows for TV networks: ABC, TLC, and Women’s Entertainment Network. She was hired to develop and produce a documentary in Cleveland, Ohio about a prestigious, homeless men’s book club where they read Steven King and Steve Lopez novels. Additionally, Michelle has taught international students filmmaking through a Master in Media & Arts in Los Angeles and Honolulu, Hawaii. She has been been a guest lecturer at UCLA, University of Hawaii, EF International Language School, NALIP Conference for independent Latino producers and Beit T’Shuvah Career Counseling . She graduated from UC Santa Barbara, B.A. Film with additional education from UCLA. Michelle grew up in and is based out of Los Angeles.
Worst-Seeming Job: Upon move to Canada after college: slicing and cooking bloody turkey and pork livers for a pet treat company. This was in between teaching snowboarding for the season and the start of summer. It was awesome!
Mark Myers | Producer
Mark Myers has developed, produced and written a number of non-fiction/documentary projects for BRAVO, HGTV, Discovery, and HBO. He produced the documentaries, Saving Home for Turtle Island Films and Warriors of Peace, The 33-Day War. Writing credits include American Dragon and Fillmore for Disney, George of the Jungle for Cartoon Network, the international hit Four Eyes for Porchlight and FR3 as well as various comedy projects for HBO, VH1, MTV and ABC. Mark is based in Los Angeles.
Alexis Fish | Consultant, Development
Alexis Fish has been an active member of the independent film community for almost a decade. Her experience includes Executive Producing Shortbus directed by John Cameron Mitchell and distributed domestically by THINK film. At the QTN network she oversaw the creation of the premium cable channel from its inception in Texas with a staff of five people to its final home in Burbank with a staff of over 150. In 2005, the documentary Pretty Things, which she co-produced, was sold to and aired on HBO. Alexis currently manages SAGIndie’s development and sponsorship department. She also works closely with acclaimed Susan Feniger and her restaurant STREET to brand her internationally.
Jennifer Jones | Consultant, Development
Jennifer Jones has worked on the business side of the entertainment industry for over 10 years. She has been the Director of New Business Development for Paramount Studios and the Director of Business Development & Strategy at The Network for Games, owned by Sony and Liberty Media. Currently, she is an employee of Live Nation in London, UK. Her producing credits include two award-winning shorts and a sci-fi feature. Worst Job: Painting college dorms.
Jose Bedoya | Director of Photography
A native to Los Angeles, Jose Bedoya’s extensive cinematography credits include the documentary film Borzage Before Hollywood on the first Academy Award winning director, Frank Borzage; 16mm short films including Anything for Now, Lemon Snake, the comedic horror Spank Zombie, the claymation shorts Debate ’08 for the Sony Pictures sponsored competition, Santa Saves Christmas for Cookie Cutter Productions, and Joe White from the 2007 Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Jose’s still photography is featured in Photographer’s Forum Magazine. His education includes Chapman University, MFA Cinematography & UC Santa Barbara, B.A. Film. View Jose’s Reel.

Steve Hosford | Additional Cinematographer & Technical Consultant
Steve Hosford is co-owner of Create Your Reel, where he shoots and directs high-quality acting reels. He is the renown cinematographer and editor for the festival favorite, Rimshot, and a number of spec commercials. In 2008, he won Best Comedy Short at the Eugene International Film Festival for Whitebread and Goatman. Steve holds a BA in Cinema from San Francisco State University, where his Downwardly Mobile won a coveted slot in the 36th Annual SFSU Film Finals, as well as acclaim in the SF Weekly. Roberto Correa | Additional Cinematographer
Roberto Correa has worked in the entertainment industry for over 20 years as director of photography, cinematographer, and still photographer. His resume includes over 60 film, TV, and documentary projects. He graduated from The National University of Mexico, School of Fine Arts San Carlos with a BA in Photography. He is certified in Panavision and Arriflex.
Amanda Luce | Researcher
Amanda Luce is a set production assistant for television shows including: Brett Ratner’s Chaos, Saving Grace, Ghost Whisperer, Bones, Parks and Recreation and numerous others.
Paul Bacca | Sound Recordist
Paul Bacca is a sound mixer and recordist for productions including Michael Spence’s Friends for Life, Juan Drago’s Behaving Badly, and Rock Shaink Jr.’s Broken. He is one of a kind on set in his professionalism and abilities.
Patrick Knipe | Sound Mixer & Editor
Patrick Knipe graduated with honors from Boston College in 2003 with a degree in English Literature and a Minor in Film Studies. He later spent a year and a half as a cubicle rat at an insurance network company where he got over his fear of cold calling and saved enough money to attend USC’s MFA program in Film & TV Production. He was a recipient of the Mary Pickford Foundation Scholarship, a 2008 finalist in the Coca-Cola Refreshing Filmmaker’s Award competition for The Report, and a 2010 recipient of the Verna Fields Award at the Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE) Golden Reel Awards.
Jesus Silva | Editor
As a film & TV editor, Jesus Silva works on animated features, documentary, music videos, television & short films. His work includes Tugger, an animated feature starring James Belushi and Carrot Top and Harvest of Empire, a documentary featuring Jesse Jackson and Noam Chomsky. Originally from Venezuela, he holds a degree in Digital Post Production from Valencia College, the same as the creators of The Blair Witch Project.
Shira Lane | Story Editor
Born in Israel, raised in Australia, and a return to Israel, serving in the Israeli Army, Shira Lane found herself eventually in Los Angeles. She founded Unleashed Productions in 2006, which produced Got the Facts on Milk? premiering internationally in Rhode Island and Korea. The company is currently involved in TV and new media.
Matthew Berkson | Music Supervisor
Matthew Berkson is a partner with International Design Group and is credited with bringing the talented Henry Wolfe and his music to Jobs For Rent through Undermountain Music.
Joe Faissal | Digital Colorist
Joe has been involved in post-production for over 20 years. He studied Film Editing at the School of Visual Arts in New York, and later worked for companies such as Stable Films, where Joe contributed to Oscar Nominated The Farm and Shakespeare in Love. He works on commercials, concert films, feature films and documentaries. Recently, he collaborated with such notable directors as Taylor Hackford, Paul Mazursky and James Toback, on Tyson documentary and with Jeff Kanew on Kirk Douglas: Before I Forget.
Jeffrey Holz | Voice Over
Jeffrey Holz, a g Cartoon Network and raduate for NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. His clientele includes promos for HGTV, Nickelodeon, Food Network, A & E, Style Network and commercials for Nike, McDonalds, and Honda. View his reel.
Andy Crittenden | Title Design
Andy Crittenden is the Creative Director at Milestone DVD Productions and has served as the Vice President, Creative Services, as well as Media & Affiliate Marketing at The CW Television Vice President, Creative Services at The CW. He created a unique media plan which lead to record-breaking launches for top two shows in WB Network history and was the team leader for the ground-breaking website branding 110 different markets.
